Now that we have explored the science, it’s time to look beyond it. Ancient traditions have been used for healing for thousands of years, yet our modern world has lost touch with its connection to nature. As a result, both our health and the planet are suffering. We must return to a more natural and sustainable way of living, honoring and nurturing our unique relationship with nature. The wisdom of Ayurveda, Buddhism, Reiki, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) informs my understanding of human nature and the connection to the natural world. This ancient knowledge provides deeper insights into the subtler aspects of humanity, as well as guidance for preventative lifestyles and personalized approaches to health and wellness.
It is time to transcend our roots and open our minds as we delve into the mysteries of the natural world and our place within it. By doing so, we will learn to expand our consciousness, allowing us to perceive the world and ourselves in new and profound ways.
Now that we understand how interconnected our lives are with nature and have a clearer understanding of our innate beings, it’s time to apply that wisdom and knowledge. To be nourished by nature means knowing your body’s needs and recognizing which aspects of the natural world are best for you. Some herbs, foods, activities, and environments can be harmful to some people while being beneficial to others. We need to integrate this awareness into our lives, deeply listen to our bodies, and nurture and nourish our with nature with nature. Additionally, the elements of nature provide their own healing properties. Here, we will further explore other natural ways that nature can support us and how we can support nature in return.
